Under Head Coach Charmin Smith, who is entering her eighth season at the helm, Cal returns seven players from last season’s roster, including four of the team’s top five leading scorers. Among the returners is All-ACC Second Team selection Lulu Twidale, who last season set program records for both single-season and career 3-pointers, finished 5th in the NCAA in triples, and will enter the 2026-27 season ranked second in the country for career 3-pointers. The Golden Bears finished the 2025–26 season with an overall record of 21–15, marking the team’s third consecutive winning season, while advancing to the quarterfinals of the Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament (WBIT). The Bears are making their second consecutive appearance in the Invisalign® Bay Area Women’s Classic.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers earned their third consecutive NCAA Tournament bid last season, finishing with a 19–13 overall record after opening the season with 12 straight wins, tied for the second-longest winning streak in school history. Nebraska welcomes back six players from its 2025–26 campaign, including starters Amiah Hargrove and Logan Nissley and first-team All-Big Ten guard Britt Prince. 2024 Big Ten Freshman of the Year Natalie Potts is also expected to join the lineup for the first time since 2024-25. The program continues under the direction of 2018 Big Ten Coach of the Year Amy Williams, who enters her 11th season guiding the Huskers.
The Stanford Cardinal returns to the Invisalign® Bay Area Women’s Classic for the third-straight year under Head Coach Kate Paye. After finishing last season with an overall record of 21–14, the team secured its 24th 20-plus win season in the last 25 years. The 2026–27 Stanford roster features five returning players, including ACC All-Freshman honoree Hailee Swain, along with four incoming freshmen and a trio of transfer portal acquisitions.
Coming off their fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance with an overall record of 27–8 last season, Ohio State welcomes back eight returning players including 2025 Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Year and two-time All-Big Ten First Team selection Jaloni Cambridge, alongside 2026 All-Defensive Team honorees Kennedy Cambridge and Elsa Lemmilä. The Buckeyes are led by Head Coach Kevin McGuff, who has guided the team to nine NCAA Tournament bids since being named to the position in 2013, including an Elite Eight run in 2023. Ohio State is making its second appearance in the Invisalign® Bay Area Women’s Classic, previously defeating Stanford, 84-59, in 2024.
