Dan + Shay Win CMA Award for Vocal Duo of the Year

Country music stars Dan + Shay had a big night at the 2019 CMA Awards. The pair won the CMA Award for Vocal Duo of the Year. Even though Shay admitted that the thrill of the moment was “overwhelming,” he took the time to acknowledge his peers and how thankful he was for country music during the pair’s acceptance speech. Dan thanked country music radio, the country music fans, and called Shay his “best friend in the world and favorite singer” before the two embraced for a hug.

Dan + Shay then performed their heartfelt ballad "Speechless.” The duo took center stage and put on a show for the ages for the CMA Awards crowd.
