The Golden State Warriors and Chase Center, the Warriors new 18,064-seat privately financed sports and entertainment arena in San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood, announced that tickets for the inaugural Al Attles Classic will go on sale today to the general public at 12:00 p.m. Fans will be able to purchase tickets by visiting chasecenter.com. During the general public onsale, Chase cardholders will also have the opportunity to purchase Chase Preferred Seats when using their Chase credit or debit card.
The newly created college basketball showcase on December 21 is put on by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and is a one-day quadruple-header that features the University of Arizona, Boston College, University of California, Berkeley, University of Nevada, University of San Diego, Stanford University, St. John’s University and St. Mary’s College. The teams will play the following schedule:
SESSION ONE – Doors open at 11:00 a.m.
• GAME 1: Stanford University vs. University of San Diego – tipoff at 12:00 p.m. (broadcast on Pac-12 Network)
• GAME 2: University of California, Berkeley vs. Boston College – tipoff at 2:30 p.m. (broadcast on Pac-12 Network)
SESSION TWO – Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
• GAME 1: University of Arizona vs. St. John’s University – tipoff at 7:00 p.m. (broadcast on ESPN2)
• GAME 2: St. Mary’s College vs. University of Nevada – tipoff at 9:30 p.m. (broadcast on ESPNU)
NOTE: A separate ticket is required for Session One and Session Two.
This inaugural tournament was created to honor Golden State Warriors’ legend, Al Attles, who will be inducted into the 2019 Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame on September 6. The showcase gives Bay Area fans a chance to witness the top college basketball programs in the country go head-to-head in this first-ever event of its kind at Chase Center.
