Chase Center General Manager Kim Stone was named to VenuesNow’s 2020 All-Star list, it was announced by the publication today. The list was curated by VenuesNow editorial staff along with input from people who work in the live events industry; the list recognizes executives who stand out for their ideas and efforts in the face of a pandemic and make important changes for fans to return to sporting events and concerts.
Having prior experience handling arena crisis situations during her tenure as General Manager of AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami, Stone has been leading Chase Center’s return to events planning, which includes implementing new protocols and procedures for guests and employees. Under her leadership, Chase Center became one of the first major sports and entertainment venues to achieve the Global Biorisk Advisory Council’s (GBAC) Star facility accreditation which validates that Chase Center will adhere to the most stringent cleaning, disinfection and disease prevention protocols in the cleaning industry. She also oversaw a successful safety plan for the recent Warriors two-week players’ minicamp that resulted in zero positive COVID-19 cases among all players and staff involved.
The award adds to Stone’s growing list of industry accolades as she was also named to the San Francisco Business Times’ 2020 Most Influential Women in Business list in addition to the below achievements:
