The Golden State Warriors and Thrive City, the plaza surrounding Chase Center, today announced that GluGlu, a food and wine project from the Master Sommelier duo behind Ungrafted, is now open. GluGlu’s regular hours at Thrive City will be Tuesday through Saturday from 3:30 – 8:30 p.m., with extended hours on Chase Center event nights.
GluGlu’s beverage program offers both traditional wines made from classic grapes as well as unconventional wines from grapes and regions from around the world, many of which are small production that are sustainable, organic and biodynamic. Additionally, GluGlu is focused on supporting and highlighting women and minority-owned wineries. Beyond wine, GluGlu offers beer, sake, traditional rice beverages, and ciders.
The food menu, which features colorful, seasonal and sharable bites influenced by Mediterranean flavors, has been cultivated by Chef David Aviles, who ran a two-Michelin-star team before taking the helm at Ungrafted and GluGlu.
The name “GluGlu” is an onomatopoeia derived from the sound made when pouring wine from a bottle to a glass, or when enjoying a cold beverage on a hot day. For more information, visit gluglusf.com.
Thrive City retailers in operation include Chase Bank, Cupcakin’ Bake Shop, Dumpling Time, GluGlu, Gott’s Roadside, Harmonic Brewing, Miller & Lux, Mission Bay Wine Bar, Philz Coffee and Warriors Shop. Additional retailers will be announced in the near future.
