Gott's Roadside at Thrive City Readies for Opening on September 17
Who: Gott’s Roadside is a Northern California roadside restaurant emphasizing locally sourced ingredients with a modern take on American classics and California favorites.
What: Gott’s Mission Bay is opening on September 17 at Thrive City, the plaza surrounding Chase Center, the home of the six-time NBA Champion Golden State Warriors. The newest San Francisco restaurant will be the only Gott’s location to feature a gleaming Airstream trailer—a tribute to the company’s 20-year history as a favorite roadside destination. The 13-foot trailer will offer beer and wine. Gott's plans to add grab-and-go food items in the future.
This iconic new location was designed by BCV Architecture + Interiors, the design firm behind many other Gott's destinations. It is visible from 3rd Street and has an outdoor patio overlooking Chase Center’s west plaza and Thrive City’s 3,108-square-foot outdoor video board. Inside the 4,000-square-foot restaurant, guests will enjoy the classic Gott's sit-down experience within an airy, glass-wrapped space that is anchored by an active, open kitchen and marked by the warmth of white oak communal tables and booths. Diners will find familiar design elements and the quality food they’ve come to associate with Gott’s but with some Chase Center-specific touches, including blue and gold sprinkles on its soft-serve cones.
“We’ve had our eye on Mission Bay as a neighborhood for several years because it’s the fastest growing neighborhood in San Francisco,” said Clay Walker, President of Gott’s Roadside. “While Gott’s typically likes to move into more mature markets and add value where there’s already an audience, we are very flattered and humbled to be a part of the biggest development in San Francisco in the last decade.”
When: Opening September 17, 2021
Twenty percent of Gott’s opening day proceeds will be donated to Generation Thrive, the first-of-its-kind non-profit hub that helps Bay Area non-profit organizations and schools through education and wellness programming.
