During the 2021-22 season, Santa Cruz beat the NBA G League Ignite, 110-107, at Chase Center in front of 10,710 fans — the largest crowd to attend a G League game that season. Forward Jerome Robinson led the team with 22 points and seven rebounds.

The Santa Cruz Warriors are celebrating their 10th season in Santa Cruz and 11th season as Golden State’s NBA G League affiliate. Santa Cruz finished the 2021-22 NBA G League Showcase Cup with a 6-8 record and finished the regular season with a 15-17 record, earning the Western Conference’s sixth seed after a five-game winning streak.  Since the 2019-20 season, all regular season Santa Cruz home and away games have been broadcasted on NBC Sports Bay Area or a National telecast. The March 4 game will be broadcast on NBC Sports Bay Area.

Many current Golden State Warriors players have spent time with Santa Cruz, including Klay Thompson, who scrimmaged with Santa Cruz as part of his ramp up to on-court activities before eventually making a return to Golden State’s lineup on January 9, 2022, after being sidelined due to injury for 941 days. Additionally, Jordan Poole averaged 23.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 14 games for the Sea Dubs during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons. The Santa Cruz Warriors have been successful off the court as well, being named the NBA G League Franchise of the Year following the 2017-18, 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons for their contributions on the court and throughout the Santa Cruz community.
