The Golden State Warriors and Chase Center announced today that Sheena Way, Vice President of Content and Programming, has been named to the annual San Francisco Business Times’ 2023 Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business list. Way, who is entering her third season with the organization, oversees all concert and event programming for Chase Center and Thrive City.

“Sheena is an exceptional leader who has had an incredibly positive impact on the Chase Center fan experience,” said Warriors President and Chief Operating Officer, Brandon Schneider. “In her three years with the Warriors, the arena has secured countless terrific performers and we have seen Thrive City come to life with a diverse slate of live programming for the community. We are thrilled that Sheena has been recognized as one of the Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business!”

Under Way’s guidance, Chase Center has hosted millions of enthusiastic fans who have enjoyed sold out events and concerts headlined by top acts secured by Way, including Andrea Bocelli, Riot Games' League of Legends World Championship, Adam Sandler, Karol G, Drake, and Sam Smith.

When Chase Center reopened for fans coming out of the pandemic in 2021, Way orchestrated the bookings of performances highlighted by Tame Impala, The Eagles, Luke Combs, Metallica, back-to-back sold-out Trevor Noah shows, and facilitated the 2022 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship West Regional.

Prior to joining the Warriors, Way served as Vice President, Live Entertainment for the Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG) where she oversaw scheduling for Vancouver’s Rogers Place, the Downtown Community Arena, ICE District, and all Premium rental spaces within OEG. There, she led the grand opening of Rogers Place, including the official ribbon-cutting ceremony and public house, along with 11 shows in its first 60 days. Way also previously served as Director of Live Entertainment for Canucks Sports and Entertainment and has held other positions within Live Nation Entertainment, House of Blue Concerts, and the Sam Feldman Agency.

The San Francisco Business Times is the top source for Bay Area business news and information on the most successful people, companies and transactions in the region. Their annual Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business list honors female business leaders making a difference in their companies, industries, and communities. Way will be celebrated at their annual awards gala on Tuesday, October 3 at the Hilton Union Square.
