
Thrive City Announces 2025 Fall Programming
Thrive City has announced its 2025 fall programming schedule, which features free events for the entire family from September through November. Highlights include the Hoop It Up 3x3 Basketball Tournament, Thrill-O-Ween, live music and classes, sports watch parties, and more. Upcoming Thrive City events include:
- Live Music Lunch Series – Thrive City’s Live Music Lunch Series returns with special performances on various Tuesdays from 12 to 1:30 p.m. starting September 2 through November 4. Enjoy the sunshine and grab a bite from one of Thrive City’s retailers while listening to live music from local Bay Area musicians such as Swami 3, Matt Bolton, and Tracy Cruz Trio.
- Little Bears Music Classes – Little Bears will continue at Thrive City with music classes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers on various Friday mornings from 10 to 11 a.m. Shake, rattle, and dance with your little one through November 7.
- Weekly Fitness Classes, presented by Kaiser Permanente – Thrive City and Kaiser Permanente will continue to host free weekly fitness classes on Wednesdays from 12 to 1 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Yoga, pilates, HIIT, and stretch classes will be offered on a rotating basis through November 8.
- US Open Watch Party – Thrive City, in collaboration with United States Tennis Association (USTA) Northern California and Harmonic Brewing, will host a US Open Watch Party on Sunday, September 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Grab a drink, cheer on your favorite players, and play a round of red ball tennis while watching the tournament from Harmonic Brewing.
- Football Sundays – Thrive City will host free community viewings of select football games on the largest outdoor video board in San Francisco on various Sundays throughout September and October. Enjoy lawn games and food from Thrive City retailers while cheering on your favorite team.
- Hoop It Up 3x3 Basketball Tournament – Hoop It Up, the popular 3x3 basketball tournament from NBA legend Kevin Garnett, returns to Thrive City on Saturday, October 4. The tournament will feature divisions for all ages and skill levels, with each team guaranteed at least four games. The Men’s Pro-Am division winner will receive a travel voucher to the Hoop It Up National Championship.
- World Mental Health Day Celebration, presented by Kaiser Permanente – Thrive City and Kaiser Permanente will celebrate World Mental Health Day on Friday, October 10, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature a gentle stretching workshop, Reiki sound healing, massage chairs, live music, and a variety of vendors focused on health and wellness.
- Thrill-O-Ween – On Sunday, October 26, Thrive City will host its fifth annual Thrill-O-Ween celebration from 12 to 5 p.m. The event will feature trick-or-treat stations, a pumpkin patch, live entertainment, a costume contest, themed photo booths, and a showing of “The Nightmare Before Christmas” on the largest outdoor video board in San Francisco.
- Blankets & Blockbusters – On Sunday, November 2, Thrive City will host Blankets & Blockbusters from 12 to 3 p.m., featuring a screening of “A Minecraft Movie.” The family-friendly event will also include arts and crafts, a trivia station, and themed photo opportunities.
Thrive City, in collaboration with Kaiser Permanente, has hosted more than 500 events since July 2023, all of which are open to the public and centered around health and wellness, arts and culture, sports and entertainment, and civic engagement.
