
Thrive City Announces 2026 Spring Programming
Thrive City has announced its 2026 spring programming schedule, which features nearly 70 free family-friendly events from March through May. Highlights include a Lucha Libre Wrestling Night, the annual Sana G Easter Egg Hunt, Taste of Thrive City, Spring Golf Day, fitness classes, and more. Upcoming Thrive City events include:
- Men’s College Basketball Viewings – Thrive City will host free community viewings of March college basketball games simultaneously from the split-screen plaza videoboard on March 19, March 20, March 21, and April 6. Multi-game viewings will be available for fans to catch all the action at once. Times will vary based on game schedules.
- Lucha Libre Wrestling Night – Hosted by West Coast Pro Wrestling and Pro Wrestling Revolution, Lucha Libre Wrestling Night brings the high-flying spirit of independent wrestling to Thrive City on Sunday, March 22. Featuring San Francisco’s top talent, the action starts at 3 p.m. in the plaza ring and will be featured live on the Thrive City plaza videoboard to enhance the viewing experience.
- Golden State 5k, presented by Kaiser Permanente – Thrive City, in collaboration with Kaiser Permanente, will host the annual Golden State 5k on Sunday, March 29, starting at 9 a.m. The scenic, bayfront 3.1-mile race will begin outside Chase Center and end with a celebration at Thrive City featuring live entertainment and wellness activations.
- Live Music Lunch Series – Thrive City’s Live Music Lunch Series returns with special performances on various Tuesdays from 12 to 1:30 p.m. starting March 31 through June 2. Guests are invited to enjoy the sunshine and grab a bite from one of Thrive City’s retailers while listening to live music from local Bay Area musicians.
- Weekly Fitness Classes, presented by Kaiser Permanente – Thrive City and Kaiser Permanente will host free weekly fitness classes from professional instructors on select Wednesdays from 12 to 1 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Yoga, HIIT, Pilates and Stretch classes are open to all levels and will be offered on a rotating basis starting April 1 to June 3.
- Little Bears Music Classes – Little Bears returns to Thrive City with music classes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers on various Fridays starting April 3 through May 29. Parents have an opportunity to shake, rattle, and dance with their little ones with two different sessions: Little Bears Music Class for Babies & Toddlers (Ages 3 and under) from 10 to 11 a.m. and the new Little Bears Music Class for Preschoolers (Ages 4 to 6) from 12 to 1 p.m.
- Sana G Easter Egg Hunt – On Saturday, April 4, Thrive City, 106.1KMEL, and Sana G will bring back their annual Easter celebration with an egg hunt and holiday activities. The community is invited to start the morning at Bayfront Park for the Sana G Easter Egg Hunt from 8 to 10 a.m., then hop on over to Thrive City for a post-hunt celebration with Easter Bunny photo opportunities, live entertainment, themed activations, and more until 12 p.m.
- Spring Golf Day – On Friday, April 10, Thrive City will host their annual Spring Golf Day from 12 to 4 p.m. featuring a Dryvebox Mobile Golf Simulator unit, 9-hole mini-golf course, bucket golf yard games, and a showing of the big tournament on the largest outdoor video board in San Francisco. All ages are welcome to join.
- Daybreaker – Daybreaker, the energetic daytime dance party that operates in 66 cities throughout the world, will return to Thrive City for their San Francisco edition on Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants can practice wellness, camaraderie, and self-expression with a session of fitness followed by a two-hour DJ-led sober dance party.
- Taste of Thrive City – Taste of Thrive City is a premier culinary experience set to take place on Sunday, April 12, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The inaugural event will transform the 11-acre community gathering space into a foodie paradise, showcasing the vibrant flavors and diverse cuisines of Thrive City’s award-winning restaurants and bars alongside live entertainment and a dedicated Entertainment Zone.
- Rock and Roll Playhouse – The family-friendly Rock and Roll Playhouse is bringing the Pink Pony Party: The Music of Chappell Roan to Thrive City on Saturday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Rock and Roll Playhouse is the largest national kid-friendly live concert series that has hosted performances for hundreds of thousands of kids and their families across the nation.
- Blankets & Blockbusters – On Sunday, May 3, Thrive City will host a special Blankets & Blockbusters event with a showing of “Zootopia 2” on the Thrive City video board, the largest in San Francisco. From 12 to 3 p.m., families are invited to enjoy the hit movie and explore the interactive kids zone featuring games, crafts, a special themed photo-op station, and more.
- Reading Celebration presented by Ross – The Golden State Warriors and Golden State Valkyries are excited to bring back a Reading Celebration to Thrive City as part of the Read to Achieve Program presented by Ross Stores. The free community event will take place on May 16 from 12 to 3 p.m. with special appearances, music, reading, games, giveaways, and more. The event will focus on celebrating literacy for Bay Area children and elementary students ages three to 12.
Thrive City, in collaboration with Kaiser Permanente, has hosted over 500 events since July 2023, all of which are open to the public and centered around health and wellness, arts and culture, sports and entertainment, and civic engagement.
