Big Nate's BBQ

NBA Hall-of-Famer Nate Thurmond needs no introduction to the Warriors — the star player is considered one of the best centers to ever play the game of basketball. But, that’s not all “Nate the Great” became famous for: For 20 years, barbecue fans lined up at Big Nate’s BBQ, Nate’s bare-bones Folsom Street restaurant (shuttered in 2010). In homage to the Warriors’ history, Bon Appétit had partnered with Nate before his death in 2016 to revive Big Nate’s BBQ for Chase Center. Now, the flavors of Big Nate’s BBQ will live on. Bon Appétit will serve smoky, saucy barbecued brisket and pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, and potato salad inspired by Big Nate’s BBQ at Chase Center, another enduring reminder that No. 42 “Nate the Great” is always on the Warriors’ team.

Fans will be able to use pay-by-face kiosks powered by J.P. Morgan Payments and PopID at Big Nate’s BBQ in Portal 11. After enrolling on their mobile phone, fans can purchase their items with just a facial scan, eliminating the need to pull out phones or credit cards.
