
Thrive City Announces Free 2024 Fall Community Programming
Thrive City has announced today its 2024 fall programming schedule, which features free events for the entire family from September through November including a basketball bootcamp, live musical performances, dance parties, and more. In collaboration with Kaiser Permanente, Thrive City has hosted over 200 events since July 2023, all of which were open to the public and centered around health and wellness, arts and culture, sports and entertainment, and civic engagement. Upcoming Thrive City events include:
- Weekly Fitness Classes, presented by Kaiser Permanente — Thrive City and Kaiser Permanente continue to host free fitness classes at Thrive City on Wednesdays from 12 to 1 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Yoga, HIIT bodyweight, and pilates fusion will be offered starting September 4 to October 27.
- First Fridays at Thrive City — On September 6, October 4, and November 1, music-lovers can enjoy themed celebrations before watching a show at Chase Center. Enjoy live musical performances from local Bay Area artists and fill out your First Fridays Passport for special prizes and promotions from Thrive City retailers.
- Little Bears Music Class — Little Bears returns to Thrive City with its music classes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers every Friday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. Classes will run from September 6 through November 22.
- Basketball Bootcamp — Thrive City will host a free weekly Basketball Bootcamp on Saturday mornings from 10 to 11 a.m. starting on September 7 through October 19. Join a seasoned coach from the Golden State Warriors for a 45-minute workout with basketball drills used by the team along with various cardio and bodyweight strength exercises catered to all skill levels.
- Fifth Anniversary Block Party, presented by Kaiser Permanente — On Sunday, September 8, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., join Chase Center and Thrive City at our 5th Anniversary Block Party, presented by Kaiser Permanente. Bring your family and friends for a day packed with live entertainment, culinary treats, local businesses, and interactive activations for all ages, including pets.
- Live Music Lunch Series — Thrive City’s Live Music Lunch Series returns with special performances on various Tuesdays from 12 to 1:30 p.m. starting September 10 through October 29. Grab a bite to eat at one of Thrive City’s eateries and enjoy live music from local Bay Area musicians.
Football Sundays — Thrive City will host free weekly community viewings for Sunday football games, starting September 15 to November 17. Enjoy lawn games and cheer on your favorite team while watching on San Francisco’s largest outdoor video board. Times for each event will vary based on kick-off schedules.R&B at Sunset featuring Anthony Midas — Thrive City and Cozy will host R&B at Sunset featuring Anthony Midas on Friday, September 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. Known for his musical expertise, Anthony Midas’ talents are reflected through his live performances, viral social media posts, and monthly 99.7 NOW mixes.Rock and Roll Playhouse — On Saturday, September 21 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., The Rock and Roll Playhouse, the largest national kid-friendly live concert series, will make a stop at Thrive City to bring the music of David Bowie for an afternoon of dance and music. Doors open at 10:30 a.m.Thrive City Dance Party featuring Swifty — On Saturday, October 12, Thrive City will host a Dance Party featuring Swifty, a Taylor Swift tribute band based in San Francisco, for an afternoon of singing and dancing for all ages. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., come in your best outfit, bring friendship bracelets to share, and dance to your favorite songs.Thrill-O-Ween — On Saturday, October 26, Thrive City will host its fourth annual Thrilloween celebration, filled with themed activities such as trunk-or-treat, a pumpkin patch, a costume contest, slime making, a screening of “Despicable Me 4,” and more from 12 to 5 p.m.
